"The ballerina"

For the last few years, the ballerina has been a key trend everywhere in the world. All shoemakers have set about making them, but it’s Repetto that is making the most of this trend.

Roland Petit, French dancer and choreographer, urged his mother into making dance shoes for him back in 1947. Rose Repetto, for the sake of her son, stitched the leather on the inside before flipping it out. This technique would soon be acknowledged by the greatest dancers. The shoe took on a new dimension a few years later when Brigitte Bardot ordered a pair to wear in the film “And God Created Woman” by Roger Vadim.
Repetto became a household name in the dance circle. Each shoe was handmade and quality-controlled. Besides the reverse stitch method, Rose made sure the sole remained light so that the slipper fit the foot perfectly. Their success was confirmed when big opera houses and dance schools began commissioning Repetto to be the exclusive supplier.
At the same time, in the 1970s, celebrities from Catherine Deneuve to Serge Gainsbourg and Mick Jagger became fans of these ballerinas which were both elegant and comfortable.

Durante los últimos años, la bailarina ha sido una tendencia clave en todo el mundo. Todos los fabricantes de calzado comenzaron a hacerlos, pero es Repetto quien está consiguiendo el máximo provecho de esta tendencia.
Roland Petit, bailarín y coreógrafo francés, instó a su madre en la fabricación de zapatos de baile para él en 1947. Rose Repetto, por el bien de su hijo, cosió el cuero en el interior antes de moverlo de un tirón hacia fuera. Esta técnica pronto sería reconocida por los más grandes bailarines. El zapato tomó una nueva dimensión unos años más tarde, cuando Brigitte Bardot usó un par para llevar en la película "Y Dios creó a la mujer" de Roger Vadim.
Repetto se convirtió en un nombre muy conocido en el círculo de baile. Cada zapato es hecho a mano y con control de calidad. Además del método de costura hacia atrás, Rose se aseguró de que la plantilla del pie se mantuviera fina para que la zapatilla se adaptara perfectamente al pie. Su éxito se confirmó cuando las grandes casas de ópera y escuelas de danza hicieron de Repetto proveedor exclusivo.
Al mismo tiempo, en la década de 1970, celebridades como Catherine Deneuve, Serge Gainsbourg y Mick Jagger se convirtieron en fans de estas bailarinas, ya que eran y son a la vez elegantes y comodas.
